“XiShi-The Lucky Things” oil on canvas, 40 x 50 cm

€445.00
In China, Oriental magpie (Ekster) is called XiQue (喜鹊-), translated as lucky bird.
“Xi (喜)” means happiness, this bird is seen as an omen of good fortune. Like my grandma always said, “if you see a Magpie today you will have goodluck”. Indeed that’s what I really need right now…
ShiZi (柿子) translated as persimmon/kaki fruit in China means “everything as you wish”.
They are a very popular combination in tradtional Chinese painting.
I wish this Chinese style oil painting will bring you luck.
